Nice! Never been there but I did go to the dance hall in Gruene once. Noticed you are from New Braunfels. A friend of a friend of mine opened a BBQ place in New Braunfels around the time I moved from Dallas, I think in 1996? His name was Rex Ludwick, and sometimes played drums for Willie Nelson on tour. I think Rex passed away a few years ago. Does any of that sound familiar? Anyway, welcome to the board and thanks for bringing back fond memories of the Texas hill country. There was a lot I didn't like about Texas but I do miss the music scene.

TERK, this is right down the street from my house !!!! That's a funny thing that you say this because my friends and I always joke around that in Ness' later years after Social D. is gone (Which I pray is no time soon!)he will perform his rockabilly and country band here when he comes through San Antonio. I love this place! Sometimes we go here just for a few beers or so. I have seen some great shows here from The Derailers to Dwight Yoakam. If only the walls in Floores' Country Store could talk.... Lot of legends have play here before including Elvis, Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Walyon and Willie, etc.! I would kill to see Social D. play here on the next tour!

The front of that place looks like the kind of place where cousins would stop in to buy beer before their weddin'.

Your right Glen. It's such a great place to go and the history of it. For all the people who haven't been to Floore your really missing out. I don't know if they would have Social D play there but it would be great. We should contact Social D's managment or start some petition to have them play there. It fits alot of people yet your so close to the action plus the beer doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. Tall boy Lone Star baby. Man that would be great. Your right Ness has to play there before it's all over.
